Romance with a surreal influence.

 

In Soldatou's work, feelings and hidden longings are the focus. One of her sources of inspiration is her homeland Lefkada, a Greek island in the Ionian Sea, where the painter also learned her craft and worked as a gallery owner.

Friendship and love are much quoted topics for her, as is wanderlust. The desire to travel is sparked by train scenarios that dress in evening red tones or landscapes in azure, in which layers of color are almost tenderly superimposed to achieve a perfect color result.

She shows her love for surrealism in many of her works. Some show fantastic landscapes in which angelic beings roam through true colors.
